International Dialing Changes Coming to AudioCodes Phones June 23
We’re making lots of progress on deploying new telephones on campus, and we would also like to let you know that international dialing will be updated on June 23, 2020 for those new AudioCodes VoIP phones. Let’s use Disney Tokyo’s phone number as an example of how to make an international call.

Phone Replacement Project Update: April 2020
As you are probably well aware, the last few weeks on campus have been active as we shifted our focus to telecommuting support, which is critical to University operations at this time. In the span of two weeks, we were able to transition a total of 27 individuals from Enrollment Services, Facilities, IT Help Desk, and SMU Operators to our new call center. Without a quick implementation, these areas would not have been able to work remotely.
Our other critical step in our phone project, the replacement of older PBX phones to the newer AudioCodes VoIP phones, had to be put on hold. Since the University has moved to only essential personnel on campus, we have paused deployments of new phones through April 3, 2020. Continue reading Phone Replacement Project Update: April 2020
AudioCodes 445HD to be Primary Phone for Campus
A few weeks ago, OIT announced that a new phone system will begin to be deployed over the next year. As part of this announcement, we informed you that there would be two different phones provided to the SMU community. After continued testing of the features and functionality of each phone, we have decided to go with just one primary device for all employees. That model is the AudioCodes 445HD.
