This semester, the Advising Network Group is hosting a new event for professional advisors. On March 6th in Prothro 106, professional academic advisors are invited to attend a ‘Watch Party‘, where attendees will watch and discuss live virtual professional development sessions from the 2026 University of Pittsburgh Mentoring and Advising Summit.
Session 1, “Squad Goals: Strategies to Alleviate Advisor Burnout” will take place between 1:30-2:45 PM. Session 2, “Skills, Story, and Strategy: Advising Students Toward Career Readiness in a Changing Economy” will take place between 2:45-4:00 PM.
Advisors are welcome to attend one or both sessions. Cake, coffee, and tea will be provided for this event. Advisors who wish to attend should RSVP on SMU360!
