Duo Security Coming to my.SMU for Sponsored Accounts

On Thursday, June 27, 2019, OIT will implement two-factor authentication for all SMU sponsored accounts accessing my.SMU. Let Your Mouse do the Walking: Internal Employee Directory Now Online

Old SMU 2016–2017 Directory Cover Ah, the yellow pages: that massive tome – for the metroplex, anyway – filled with business listings from construction to casting (see also: talent agencies), bakeries to basket weavers, and so on. Until recently, SMU had its own print directory, Mustang Connections sponsored by SMU Student Media, that featured listings for students, faculty, staff members, and even department information. This directory served as SMU’s own reliable “yellow pages” – even though the pages were blue or gray – for some time, but eventually, technology innovations and environmental concerns caused SMU to move on.

On Monday, April 1, 2019, students will need to use Duo Two-Factor Authentication to register for classes or check your grades. So don’t wait! Enroll your device today at smu.edu/duoenroll.

Two weeks until students are required to use Duo Two-Factor Authentication for my.SMU

On Monday, April 1, 2019, OIT will begin an initiative to implement two-factor authentication for all SMU students to certain online services. To encourage students to enroll before April 1, OIT will award an Amazon gift card to three randomly selected students who enroll a device early – Two of these gift cards have already been won. To be registered for the final drawing, simply enroll a device at smu.edu/duoenroll before the contest entry deadline. You will be automatically entered for that drawing and the future drawings upon device enrollment.
