NetID is Coming!
We mentioned back in August that SMU was moving to using Microsoft Entra ID as our primary Single sign-on (SSO) service. One of the most significant differences that SMU users can expect as part of that change is the support for NetID to sign in to SMU services. For most users, the NetID will look much like your @smu.edu email address. For some, such as Authorized Payers on your accounts, it will be their current login name plus the @smu.edu. Web Team To Improve SEO with Sitecore Update
On September 17, 2024, OIT will roll out another improvement for Sitecore to enhance our Search Engine Optimization (SEO). As mentioned in SMU.edu and SEO: A Constant Evolution, improving our website’s SEO will increase its visibility in Google, Bing, and other search engines. To help reach that goal, OIT is standardizing the use of lowercase characters in our URLs and is now ready to implement the change to Sitecore for links created with the internal link feature.
