History Professor John R. Chavez has been awarded a University Research Council Grant to present a paper on internal colonialism at the annual meeting of the World History Association in Ghent, Belgium in July 2016.
History doctoral candidate Ruben Arellano has been selected for a Dissertation Fellowship for 2016-2017 by SMU’s Office of Research and Graduate Studies. The award is designed to provide recipients with a stipend to complete the Ph.D. in the following academic year.
