New Grade Import Tool Makes Final Grading Easier
As we inch ever closer to final exams, the task of entering final grades in my.SMU can be a tedious and time-consuming endeavor, especially for larger classes. Starting this term, however, a new grade import tool can help make things easier during this hectic time, allowing you to export your grades from Canvas and then upload them to my.SMU with far less manual data entry!

New Student Grade Dashboard Provides Simple, Robust Insight for Administrators
Grade averages aren’t just used towards graduation! School administrators use student GPAs for many reasons, including eligibility for scholarships, Greek life programs, etc. For years, looking up GPAs for individuals as well as specific groups required time-consuming navigation within PeopleSoft (my.SMU) or the creation of complex queries. OIT staff recently worked with Enrollment Services to create a new user-friendly dashboard that takes the GPA data from PeopleSoft and allows specific administrators to quickly and easily search for grade information.
