12twenty to Enhance SMU’s Campus Employment Experience
We are excited to announce that as of today, August 1, 2024, SMU has transitioned from Handshake to 12twenty as our new career management platform. 12twenty is designed to enhance our campus employment and career services experience for both students and employers and provide Career Services staff with a more integrated and efficient system for managing student employment and career development activities. In addition, this new solution offers students an array of tools and resources to help them navigate their career path effectively. Student Technology Survey Highlight Areas for Growth [Infographic]
The Student Technology Survey was conducted to gather information about what the current student body believes are the most crucial technology-related issues at SMU. Partnering with the CIO Student Advisory Board, OIT’s Academic Technology Services completed surveys of over 1,000 students during a two-week period during the fall 2023 term and collected both quantitative and qualitative data focusing on OIT systems, resources, and technical support, including the IT Help Desk and teaching technologies. Network Maintenance and Scheduled Service Outage for August 3rd
OIT will perform critical maintenance in the University Data Center on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024. During the maintenance window, access to all servers and services will be intermittent. In order to minimize the impact on the campus, the work is scheduled during a low-usage period.
