Container Gardening
Friday, April 29
12:30-1:30 p.m.
HTSC Forum
Wander on over to the SMU Farmers Market and learn from the pros who grow great things on campus. FMS’s own Ann Allen and Cathy Coates will share their tips and tricks for growing enough produce to stock your fridge and fill your pantry.
Afterwards, join us on the SMU Community Garden tour and see how others have organized their garden. Theology Professor Elaine Heath will share her knowledge and tell you how the Community Garden supports our DFW community.
Not available for the tour on Friday? You may also join us on Thursday, April 28, at 11:30. Either time, meet at the Farmers Market in HTSC Commons and walk over as a group, or just meet at the Community Garden.
The Garden is located to the west of Patterson Hall. It is an organic garden and is supported by students, faculty, and staff. Proceeds support the N. Texas Food Bank.
Want to make a donation to the Food Bank in honor of the hard work done by our campus community in the garden? Bring your canned goods and drop them in the basket at the Farmers Market or at the Garden!
Planning to attend? RSVP here and help us know how much produce to have on hand!
