SMU’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counseling and referral service that can help you and your family deal successfully with life’s challenges.

Receive up to 3 counseling sessions at no cost.
All full-time employees and their dependents are eligible for up to three in-person counseling sessions at no charge. Assistance is provided for the following:
Grief or Bereavement
Interpersonal and general stress-related problems
Marital and family problems
Emotional concerns, such as anxiety and depression
Coping with change, anger, burnout

Who will answer my call and provide the counseling?
Counseling services are provided by a Network of professional, licensed clinicians, accessed through a dedicated toll-free telephone number 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Should your needs go beyond the initial three sessions, Magellan will make a recommendation. SMU’s access number to Magellan is 1-877-704-5696.

These topics and many more are highlighted on the Magellan website. To access Magellan’s online tools and resources, or for additional information, visit the Magellan website.
