Strategic Thinking

This very day, or some day in the near future, you may face a challenging business situation for which there is no clear solution. Your team is counting on you to “handle it” but to do so will required you to go beyond the way things have always been done and to approach the issue in a whole new way. You will need to assess the situation, ask questions you have never asked before, and determine a new solution.
Strategic Thinking, a Skillpath seminar, teaches a new way to think about business problems or challenges. The training unpacks the skills, attitudes, traits, and behaviors you need to think critically, find new answers, uncover new opportuntiies and make better decisions.
Strategic Thinking is about having a vision and developing a plan for achieveing that vision. Your vision could be simple or grand; either way the ability to think strategically is the responsibility of every employee.
In this seminar, you will learn how to:
- apply strategic thinking to any challenge – big or small
- create flexible plans you can quickly modify should conditions change
- ask questions that generate new thinking and solutions
- challenge the attitude of “that’s the way it’s always been done
- assess the impacts of your decisions, both short and long-term
