On December 26, 2024, SMU will switch to using NetID as the standard user name for signing into SMU services. This change in how we authenticate with our Single Sign-on (SSO) using Entra ID will allow OIT to access several modern services relevant to the SMU community, such as Microsoft Intune and Windows Hello for Business, in the future. If you use a password manager, we also recommend changing any entries to use your NetID to avoid problems after December 26. Continue reading NetID Becomes Standard on December 26
