The XWiki Implementation Project includes the migration to this new XWiki environment, including transferring all existing content and permissions to the new platform, updating existing service pages and training information, and communication throughout the project of transition to the new solution.
The New Wiki.SMU, powered by XWiki, is Now Available
The migration from Confluence to XWiki is complete and the new Wiki.SMU is now available for use. XWiki will be the platform for documentation such as IT Knowledge Base, STABLE documentation, and my.SMU instructions. To access, go to smu.edu/wiki.

Migration to XWiki Starts February 23
As you may have heard, OIT is transitioning from Atlassian Confluence to power our campus Wiki solution to a new product, XWiki. Our main goal is to provide a seamless migration for all spaces on Wiki.SMU. OIT is planning to migrate to XWiki on the weekend of February 23, 2024, with the new Wiki.SMU coming online on the morning of February 26, 2024.

XWiki Project Gets Closer to Migration
The XWiki Implementation Project has entered its next phase and is working through the technical aspects of migrating years of posts and updates to our campus wiki system. The main goal of the phase to provide a seamless migration for all spaces. Wiki.SMU Space Survey Distributed for XWiki Migration
This week, the XWiki Implementation Project Team sent emails to administrators of spaces on Wiki.SMU concerning the migration of content to XWiki. With over 200 spaces on the current Wiki, the migration team is reviewing to see if all those sites, many of which have not been updated since before 2010, are still needed or actively used.
