Teams Headset Deployment Begins This Week

The mono version of the Jabra Evolve2 40.Starting this week, OIT will begin deploying replacement headsets to employees who requested one in the SMU Telephone Handset Replacement Survey sent last month. During this first phase of the Microsoft Teams Migration Project, OIT representatives will visit campus buildings between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet with employees and exchange their desktop phones for a headset.

If the scheduled date does not work well with availability, don’t worry; the team will return the following Friday to try again. If the recipient is unavailable, they will be added to the Phase Two list to occur after the new year. No exchange will happen without the requester being present.

If anyone missed the deadline for the SMU Telephone Handset Replacement Survey and would like to exchange their desktop phone for a headset, they can ask one of the OIT representatives while in the building or reach out to the IT Help Desk to see about updating their preference.
