New Spam Filtering Service Enters the Fight Against Unwanted Emails

Armorblox LogoStarting this March, you’ll probably see fewer spam messages in your inbox and will find them in your Junk Email or Deleted Items folders instead. This is because OIT will be implementing an enhanced spam filtering system, Armorblox, to more aggressively prevent unwanted emails from reaching you.

Armorblox will also add a warning to the top of suspicious messages to provide details on the type of suspicious content contained in the message and an advisory to beware of clicking links or providing information. We hope this new system will further reduce those annoying messages that clog your inbox.

Of course, you can still report suspicious e-mail to us at spam@smu.edu. We have a blog post with details on how to report messages.
