Onboarding Begins for Faculty in New Cox Classrooms

Cox School of Business logoWork is underway to complete the installation and configuration of all classrooms in the new David B. Miller Business Quadrangle of the Cox School of Business. As our faculty begins to prepare for the semester, we wanted to share several resources regarding classroom technology in Cox.

Online Resources

To get you started, online training and documentation are available at smu.edu/oit/classrooms/coxmiller. The Miller Quadrangle provides several cutting-edge technologies for the Cox School of Business, and this site demonstrates how to utilize the equipment in each room.

In-Person Training

OIT will host a series of daily training sessions in room 1165 from August 12 to August 23. No registration is required. Please consider attending one of these sessions prior to the start of the semester.

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    (August 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23)
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    (August 13, 15, 20, 22)

The rooms are still under construction at the moment, but we promise they will be ready for the start of the semester.  We will update the status of rooms on the Cox Reopening Project website as they are ready for use.  If you are teaching in one of these rooms, please do not plan on testing your assigned room until the AV Status page shows that the room is complete.  We have two rooms (1165 and 1168) that will be available for testing beginning August 12.  Feel free to stop in those two classrooms to test at your convenience.

We look forward to welcoming you into the new classrooms this Fall!
