Writing a Marketing Plan

Learning Soldering for Electronics

In an electronic product such as a cell phone, toy, or automobile, electronic components are attached using solder, a metal compound that melts at a low-enough temperature to be able to be worked by hand or machine. Whether you are prototyping a new product, manufacturing a product at scale, or working on a project in your spare time, you will need to learn how to solder in order to create the electrical and mechanical connections that make it all work. In this course, learn about the tools and techniques needed to make great solder connections. Plus, get troubleshooting tips, including how to fix a cold solder joint and repair a mistake in a PCB.

Hegi Family Career Center Foundations for Career Development Course

Foundation of Career Development flyerThe Hegi Career Center will offer its Foundations of Career Development Online Course this summer beginning Tuesday, June 1. The Foundations of Career Development is an entirely online course that provides job search training and covers the basics of career development. Topics covered in the course include job search techniques, resume building, improving your interviewing skills, networking, researching your desired career or industry, and more. Students can complete the course at their own pace and gain experience with career development via LinkedIn Learning. Upon completion, students receive a professional development credential to include on their resume and post to their LinkedIn profile.

Registration for the Foundations course opens on Monday, May 3, and runs through Friday, June 11. The first day of course availability is Tuesday, June 1. The Foundations of Career Development Online Course concludes on Friday, August 13.
