Due to a recently discovered security vulnerability, changes are required, affecting the functionality of the web-based email client that services SMU faculty and staff.
Specifically, the vulnerability requires a patch for our on-premises Microsoft Exchange email servers, impacting Webmail users’ ability to view PDF previews in the web-based client. The PDF preview feature will still work as expected for Microsoft Outlook desktop and mobile clients. We will notify the campus as soon as a fix is available for this issue.
