Starting at 9 a.m. on July 23, 2018, the server for the campus digital signage, appspace.smu.edu, will be updated to the current version of Appspace for on-premises environments. Content on the digital signage will not be able to be modified during the server upgrade. The upgrade is expected to be complete by Noon. Campus digital signage server to be updated this summer
OIT is currently upgrading the campus digital signage server to the latest on-premise release, Appspace 6.3. The update will enable some new features like Cards, Channels, and new content libraries. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be recruiting users of the digital signage system to test the upgrade before deploying to the rest of the campus in July. Appspace switchover starts today (09/06/2016)
As a reminder, our switchover to the new Appspace (formerly known as Nexus On-Demand) server for the campus digital signs begins this week. You may notice the team in the windows environment doing the manual updates to your digital sign. Unfortunately, these changes cannot be completed behind the scenes. Feel free to switch off your digital sign(s) for the day if this will be an issue. Appspace v5.8 Now Available for Digital Signage
We have upgraded our digital signage solution Appspace (formerly known as Nexus On-Demand) and are now able to deploy the updated digital signage system campus-wide. This latest version will enable new features, performance improvements, better browser support, and the ability to add additional networks to support more players on campus.
