SMU has purchased a new building located at 5401 North Central Expressway, currently known as the Associa Building. The building is just south of the SMU Tennis Complex at the north end of the Katy Trail, where Airline Road meets North Central Expressway. OIT personnel currently located in the Laura Lee Blanton Building will be the first SMU team to move into this facility. This new location will allow IT personnel to continue to work closely together while opening space in the Blanton Building for additional student services. Over the next several months, we will collaborate with Michael Molina and the rest of the Facilities Planning and Management team to configure the space and compile the relocation plan. At present, the move is scheduled for Fall 2025.
Other OIT personnel are located throughout campus and will remain in their current locations to continue providing on-site support and services.
