On August 4, 2024, we will introduce several new features to STABLE, as well as onboard additional support teams to use the system.

New Mobile Application

the STABLE application as it appears on a mobile deviceThis Sunday, we will introduce a new mobile application for customers and for the Facilities Field technicians.  The new application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.  This updated application allows you to easily submit requests, including room reservations, view existing requests, computer inventory, and more. For additional information, including the QR Code to register, visit smu.edu/oit/services/stable/mobile-app.

Enrollment Services Now on STABLE

The Division of Enrollment Services will begin using STABLE to manage their support requests.  Current students will be able to submit a request for assistance using the form on the STABLE home page or by sending an email as they do today to manedesk@smu.edu. These will be handled by the Enrollment Services team and transferred to the various departments as needed for resolution.

New Features

Graduate Students:

Several rooms were designed to support graduate student study and research in the Moody Graduate School and Collins Executive Center. These rooms are now bookable only by graduate students. Graduate students will see a new gadget on their STABLE homepage or in the app specific to room reservations that will include these specialized spaces.

Other changes:

  • The Event forms are being revised to support recent procedural and policy changes.
  • The Faculty and Staff indoor reservation form will be modified slightly to allow furniture reservations in select locations. Currently, only the Meadows Museum will use this feature to ensure they have the right inventory of tables/chairs for their events. Other areas interested in this feature are welcome to contact the Stable support team.
  • The notification template will receive a new look! At certain points in the process, you’ll see the new templates when a request is opened, closed, or updated. Remember, you can always reply to those notices to update your request as well.
