For many years, SMU’s Faculty Senate has honored several specific staff members throughout the university who make a difference through outstanding service. This year, two of OIT’s Academic Technology Service Directors joined the ranks of previous OIT honorees.Faye Walter, nominated by the faculty of Dedman College, and Mike Gebreselassie, nominated by faculty from the Cox School of Business, were awarded the Extraordinary Staff Member Award plaques along with other appreciation gifts during the Faculty Senate May 2023 meeting.
The Office of Information Technology is proud of Faye and Mike and their work to build strong relationships with faculty based on trust, support, and of course, technology service. Nicely done!!
