As the new fiscal year begins on June 1, 2023, approximately 700 computers will become eligible for replacement under the University Technology Fund. During the week of April 10, individuals with an eligible computer will receive an email with instructions for placing their orders. To support the increase in orders that typically accompany the start of the new fiscal year, we will onboard additional temporary staff to ensure we can deploy the computer as quickly as possible this summer.
There are several key dates regarding new orders and financial processing as we close out FY23 and begin the new year.
- For computers that are eligible beginning June 1, 2023, orders may be placed anytime after May 22,2023. These orders will not be processed until after June 2, and all charges for these orders will be processed in the FY24 fiscal year.
- To support the fiscal year close activities, all custom orders to be processed in fiscal year FY23 must be placed before May 1, 2023, and the equipment received on campus before May 26, 2023. Orders for in-stock items (items already on campus) can be placed through May 19, 2023.
- We will temporarily pause ordering activities except for extreme emergencies between May 20 and June 2, 2023.
