Thank you to everyone that joined us today at the SMU President’s Picnic to find out about all we have to offer and who filled out our survey on IT Training at SMU. We had over 220 employees fill out the survey during the picnic and one of them is the winner of a new iPad Air… but more about that later.
After the pandemic and a general move to remote learning, we see that many of you are now very comfortable with remote learning, whether online or on-demand. Only 27% of you said that In-Person was your definite preference.
We are also thankful that a majority of you have attended one of our IT Training sessions before. For those that haven’t or cannot remember, we do hope you will join us for one soon. You can always find a list of the latest offerings at smu.edu/ittraining. We had a strong response about what training you would like offered and we will be using that information to build our training courses in the future.
If you cannot make it to one of our training sessions, we always have LinkedIn Learning available 24/7. If you are unfamiliar with LinkedIn Learning, it is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through thousands of expert-created course videos. The training is for all skill levels and can be viewed online or even downloaded to your mobile device for travel. You can find training for using Adobe Photoshop, or Microsoft Teams, learning for certifications, and even how to play the guitar. If you haven’t taken advantage of LinkedIn Learning yet, we highly recommend you give it a look.
