Over the last few days, faculty and students alike have faced challenges in sustaining sufficient power for the reliable use of laptops and computers. Please take advantage of the free Canvas Teacher app, which allows for sending easy mobile announcements to your course from a mobile device. While most students frequently check into Canvas through the Canvas Student mobile app, the Canvas Teacher app is currently used far less by faculty.
The Canvas Teacher mobile app will allow you to stay connected with your students even when normal devices are not usable. The app provides quick mobile access to communicating, updating, and grading—three of the most frequent course facilitation tasks for faculty through Announcements, Discussions, Assignments, and Quizzes.
Please consider adding the Canvas Teacher mobile app to your digital teaching toolkit to make communicating with your students easier no matter the situation—even during extreme weather events!
