We’ve told you about our Internet of Things (IoT) laboratory a few times on this blog, and we have more great news about this incredible resource! Now, in partnership with the Hart Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the IoT lab is celebrating the opening of its new studio in Caruth Hall 300.
This new facility provides even more resources for serving researchers, faculty, students, artists, and now, our entrepreneurs across campus. Our IoT Research Developer, Guillermo Vasquez, works directly with these communities to bring ideas from concept to working prototypes.

One particular recent example of this interdisciplinary collaboration is the creation of sensors for smart clothing and other AI-powered applications using a wearable, flexible, and biocompatible 3D-printed circuit board.
Guillermo invites you to bring your ideas to the studio: “Our mission is simple: to be your interdisciplinary solutions partner. Whether you’re exploring research, building prototypes, or launching ideas, we’re here to help make it real.”
