MathWorks Accounts Now SSO Enabled

MathWorksMathWorks accounts are changing this summer! All students, researchers, faculty, and staff will be able to sign in to MathWorks using SMU Single Sign-On this summer. This will allow for just-in-time account creation and licensing for MATLAB and Simulink software on macOS and Windows devices.

To create your MathWorks account, please head to https://www.mathworks.com/login and sign in with your SMU email address. You can then complete the sign-in with your SMU credentials when prompted.

If you already have a MathWorks account, the first sign in will convert your account to the new SSO enabled account model. This will mean you no longer need to manage separate login credentials.

When launching MATLAB you will be prompted to sign in to MathWorks. After entering your SMU email address or NetID, you will be prompted for your SMU credentials for single sign-on.

For Lab and Classrooms: Starting with this change, when opening MATLAB or Simulink in a lab or classroom space you will be prompted to sign-in to a MathWorks account. Enter your SMU email address and then complete the SMU Single Sign-On process. Once signed in, you will be able to continue to use the application.
