On July 26, 2025, the STABLE portal will be unavailable for a brief period while we upgrade the software to the latest version, which will provide new features and an improved look and feel.
New look and feel on the homepage
As our usage of STABLE has expanded across campus, the homepage was becoming quite cluttered with all the icons. Several of the gadgets will now display as a list of items rather than the icon view. You can also search each gadget to help locate the proper form.

Revisions to Reservation and Event Forms
The student event forms have been slightly rewritten to include additional information required by Student Affairs. Rather than asking many of the same questions in the SMU360 form, student organizations will simply have to enter the STABLE Event request number. This reduces the duplication of effort when hosting an event.
Several changes were made to the reservation module to ensure outdoor requests and reservations for special venues are made with sufficient time to support the process and logistics. For example, several venues now restrict reservations to no less than one week prior to the event and no more than one year ahead. These scheduling rules have been defined by the specific areas to help support the events more efficiently.
In early August, we will introduce a new reservation module specific to lactation rooms. This will help individuals reserve and gain access to these spaces more quickly.
One additional integration has been developed that will grant permissions to the meeting requestor for select spaces where access is controlled via card readers. Once the reservation is approved, that information will automatically be entered into CCURE, granting access 30 minutes before the meeting reservation. It will then revoke access 30 minutes after. We will continue to roll out this integration throughout the fall.
New Parking Forms
With this upgrade, STABLE will offer two new parking forms: one for guest permits for general meetings or campus visits not linked to specific events, and another for registering vehicles for ADA or Medical permits.
Other Improvements
Several enhancements are also being introduced for individuals managing requests in the system. These include a new mobile application for technicians, the ability to see answers to the questionnaires directly on the suborder, and the ability for the answer lines on a questionnaire to be embedded in an email form.
Following the upgrade, we will also run various processes to archive older completed orders.
