Creating Documents in Adobe InDesign

This class will be an introduction to using Adobe InDesign to create documents, posters, and PDFs. Attendees will learn the basics of how to create a new document, adjust columns and margins, import text, place images, and finally export the document to PDF to share with others.InDesign is an industry-leading program used to design documents for print or PDF production. This course shows you how to create documents that can adapt to your text instead of the other way around.

Sitecore for Content Editors

Are you responsible for updating information on existing SMU web pages but don’t know where to start? This session covers the basics of creating a web page from scratch within the Sitecore Content Management System. You will also learn how to work with links, images, and formatting of existing pages.

Getting started with Appspace Digital Signage

Need help getting your area’s digital signage in tip-top shape? This class is for you! Learn the basics of building a channel in Appspace, setting up schedules, and adding content from YouTube or your blog. Plus, we will discuss how to make your signage look and function its best.

Wrangling Text in Excel

Have you ever done a data dump and thought, “Wow, this needs some work!”? This session will review some of the most popular Excel Text functions for data manipulation and analysis.  You’ll  also learn how  to join text strings, manipulate text, remove strange characters, pad numbers with zeros, and more. 
This is an introductory course designed for those who have a basic understanding of the Excel interface.

Gain essential Excel skills in our workshop focusing on Formulas, Tables, and Pivot Tables. We’ll start by reviewing basic Excel functions before diving into efficiently organizing data within tables and creating dynamic Pivot Tables for data summarization and analysis. Explore setting up existing spreadsheets for Pivot Tables, customizing field selections, formatting data, and more.

Discover how to enhance your Pivot Tables with slicers and timelines for quick data analysis. By the end of this session, you’ll have more tools to excel in data management and analysis, empowering you to work in Excel more efficiently.
