Using someone’s correct personal pronouns is a way to respect them and create an inclusive environment. Many of our technology systems allow you to state these pronouns within your profile, making it easier for others to know how to address you properly. We recognized that the process of designating these pronouns varies from platform to platform. In an effort to create a more inclusive and supportive environment, we have outlined the procedure to update your pronouns for several of our IT services, including email, zoom, Linkedin Learning, and the Canvas LMS.
We were surprised that Microsoft 365 does not yet support pronoun designation in products like Microsoft Teams. We will continue to monitor the development roadmap of Microsoft Teams and enable the pronoun functionality as soon as it is available.
