OIT Technology News: 2017 Cyber Security Awareness Month Edition

The 2017 HR/CyberSecurity Fair is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Human Resources and the Office of Information Technology. The Fair will feature many of the elements we all look forward to each year, plus educational sessions, games, and resources designed to help you stay safe online and with your digital life.

Our Fall 2017 edition of the OIT Security Report is now available to the SMU community. In this edition, we discuss cyber hygiene and the Internet of things, introduce a new “Ask Ms. Security” column, plus see how to spot fake news.

In August, the initiative team launched a series of new account permission request forms available via help.smu.edu.
