SMU Buildings and Roads has circulated a notice that electrical service will be shut off to several campus buildings as a part of campus construction activities. The shutdown will begin on Saturday, July 15, 2017, starting approximately at 11:45 p.m. and is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Offices in these buildings should remember to shut down computers and printers before the electrical service being shut off.

As a part of campus construction activities, electrical service will be shut off to the following campus buildings on Saturday, July 15, starting at 11:45 p.m. for approximately 6 hours.
Site lighting in these areas also will be affected and supplemental lighting will be provided as necessary.
This work has been closely coordinated with Conference Services, Residence Life and Student Housing, and the appropriate facilities managers to minimize the disruption.

This shutdown will also impact network connections in the buildings. If you continue to have networking issues 30 minutes after the power has been restored, please contact the IT Help Desk at 214-768-HELP.
