OIT’s Training On-Demand

OIT Training On-DemandLast school year, the OIT Training Team offered over 150 classes and webinars to hundreds in the SMU community. We work hard to provide a variety of times and days for our training but understand, even with our best efforts, we cannot make the time fit with everyone’s schedule. We would like to take this time to remind you of the courses we have available as part of our Training On-Demand.

OIT’s Training On-Demand.

With OIT’s Training On-Demand, you can access many of our webinars at your convenience. You can get an introduction to using Canvas while eating dinner, or watch how to get started with Box, our cloud storage solution, before breakfast. You can find a list of our Training On-Demand at https://www.smu.edu/OIT/Training/WebinarArchives.

Training On-Demand for Hundreds of Topics.

lynda.comFor instruction beyond what we usually offer or if you need help before our next scheduled class, we have Lynda. Through lynda.com, you have access to over 700 business and professional development courses, over 600 web design and development courses, over 1000 design and photography courses, and much, much more. These courses are presented by industry experts who are just as passionate about teaching as we are. One of the benefits of the Lynda.com courses is they can be viewed on your computer, phone, tablet, or TV.

Training On-Demand and On the Go.

Another feature of the Lynda.com training is the courses are available for offline viewing. Taking a flight or if you’re away from an Internet connection, you can download and watch the courses on your computer or mobile devices. You can watch from anywhere on your mobile devices. Apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Roku devices. Of course, just like OIT’s Training On-Demand, these courses are available 24/7. To get started, just visit smu.edu/lynda.
