FTC Hiring Statisticians for Summer 2025 – Apply by November 4th

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is accepting applications for Statisticians in the Bureau of Economics, offering a unique opportunity for seniors and Masters students with backgrounds in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or Computer Science.

In this role, you’ll work with PhD economists to support antitrust investigations, consumer protection, and competition policy. This is an excellent way to gain real-world experience in applied economics and data analysis.

Positions Available:

  • Statistician GS7: Ideal for those with proficiency in Stata, R, or Python, and a strong interest in microeconomics.
  • Statistician GS9: Suitable for candidates with advanced skills in data analysis, econometrics, or machine learning using tools like Stata, R, Python, SQL, or C++.

Position Start: Summer 2025
Location: Washington, DC
Term: One year, renewable for up to four years.

FTC Bureau of Economics Summer Intern

The Bureau of Economics of the Federal Trade Commission is hiring interns for Summer 2024. They are looking for advanced undergraduate economics students who are interested in exploring graduate school (such as those considering a pre-doc for the fall of 2025) or economic policy jobs after graduation.
