Heather DeShon, Department Chair and Professor in Dedman College’s Roy M. Huffington Department of Earth Sciences, was elected SSA president and has already assumed duties as president-elect.
According to the website, SSA is “committed to advancing seismology and sharing research with the public to help build an earthquake-aware world.”
