Intern / employment opportunity for Education Students

My name is Carol Anderson, and I am reaching out regarding a potential employment opportunity for an education student who is specializing in special education at SMU.

My sister is a 61 year old adult with intellectual disabilities.  She lives in an assisted living facility close to SMU.  I would like to hire someone who has an interest in working with people like Tracy, to spend time with her.  Tracy is mobile and verbal, but she is not able to read or write.  I do believe she has the capability to learn much more than she has, but, due to her age, there were not adequate resources available to her when she was in her formative years.  I would love to employ someone on a part-time, very flexible hours basis to work with and just spend time with Tracy.  Even just taking her out to drive around would be great as she loves getting out and about.

I also live in Dallas, in the Preston Hollow area, and I am Tracy’s guardian.

Thank you,

Carol Anderson
