Fondren Library is set to undergo some renovations in the new year, with several exciting projects that will transform our library spaces.
If you’ve noticed the signs in the Commons on the first floor of Fondren Red, you may already know about the upcoming construction in the library. We’ve teamed up with Master of Design and Innovation (MADI) students to understand how students use the library. Student feedback, combined with what we learn from this collaboration, will help shape our spaces. Stay tuned for updates on future student space renovations.
For now, we’re embarking on a small renovation project to enhance some of our staff spaces. The construction activities have been planned to minimize disruptions, but occasional noise may be associated with the renovation. Our Main Desk is here to help. Our staff can guide you to quieter study spaces within the library. Earplugs are also available at supply stations throughout the library.
