SpeedGrader Improvements for Mobile

The SpeedGrader for the Canvas Teacher App now offers a faster, more intuitive, and more consistent mobile grading experience. With a cleaner design and improved navigation, updates include enhanced filtering, built-in annotation tools, simplified workflows, and accessibility and interface improvements.

Update your Canvas Teacher App for Android (Android 2.0 or later) or for iOS (iOS 2.1 or later) to explore the changes.

To learn more about utilizing the Canvas Teacher App, you can visit and explore the Canvas Mobile Guides in Instructure’s online Community.

New YouTube Overlay

a video in YouTube has an overlay of text stating that the video may display YouTube ads.

Canvas now displays an overlay feature for YouTube videos embedded in your courses. This overlay message displays before playback and alerts viewers that ads may appear. (On the Canvas mobile apps, the message will be displayed at the top of the page.) This update allows both instructors and students to be notified in advance of YouTube ads that could interrupt the learning experience. Visit this Canvas Guide to learn how to link or embed a YouTube video in your course.
