In January, IT training facilitated a series of Lynda Learning events on campus. The month kicked off with our partnership with Wellpower as we announced the lynda.com “Brain Challenge.” Participants could receive Wellpower points for completing a course during the month of January. During the challenge, over 130 courses were completed, with Financial Wellness: Managing Personal Cash Flow and Learn Canvas 2016 being the top viewed courses.
Lynda Learning Days
Faculty and Staff were also invited to our Lynda Learning Day where they could complete their challenge during a 45-minute window. The event was well received with 82 people in attendance. Students were also introduced to LyndaCampus through our Lynda Birthday Bash, to celebrate lynda.com co-founder Lynda Weinman’s birthday, on January 24. Over 100 students joined us for birthday cake and to learn more about what lyndaCampus has to offer.
If you missed both of these events, don’t fret. Below are the courses shared during the two days. These courses and hundreds more are all available 24/7 on SMU’s online learning tool, lynda.com. To get started, log in at smu.edu/lynda.
