Our campus has a high staff retention rate for instructional staff indicating the strong support and collegial work environment. All of our current instructional staff have worked in traditional ISD prior to coming to Winfree. One of our teachers recently wrote, “I’ve been teaching for 22+ years now. Winfree is a charter school which means we are a Texas public school but not limited to a single school district like traditional ISDs. We are different from most charter schools in that we are a Content Recovery school helping high school learners who need a different path to graduation. Winfree is a stable organization over 20 years old and has grown to six campuses in the DFW area with around 8000 graduates. Our campus had an average enrollment of 160 for the past school year. Students come to either a morning or afternoon session. Core teachers have a traditional lesson two times a week; most of the curriculum is online and it grades most quizzes and exams.
