For the minimum requirements to be considered:

  • Minimum of 2.5 Overall GPA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field

TEXAS PACT Exam

For the Latino men initiative, we are searching for teachers at the secondary level (middle and high school). An important requirement for consideration to the Adjunct Teacher Program is the Pre-admission Content Test (PACT).

There is a fee of $106 associated with this test. The fee is not covered by the district. With the successful completion and a passing score on the approved TX PACT, your application will receive priority review.

We encourage you to review the TX PACT. Here is the information & registration links for the PACT Exam:

If you are interested in teaching a specific content area, please identify which of the following is your preference:

Math 7-12

Science 7-12

ELAR 7-12

For the African American men initiative, the requirement for consideration to the Adjunct Teacher Program is the Pre-admission Content Test (PACT): Essential Academic Skills (700).

Please note that taking the PACT does not guarantee acceptance into the program, but it will allow you to receive a priority interview.

Please email us prior to taking the PACT to confirm which exam to take based on your academic transcript and preference.

Also note you should NOT take the PACT if you do not hold at least a bachelor’s degree or your undergraduate GPA is below 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Once you have completed the assessment, please email your results to jirasheed@dallasisd.org, soston@dallasisd.org, and ecarrizales@dallasisd.org.
