COVID-19 Implications for Rural Texas

Dr. Eric G. Bing talks about the implications of coronavirus for rural Texas leaders.

 

The SMU District Leadership Fellows has a virtual meeting to talk about COVID-19 and the implications for their school districts in rural Texas.  Dr. Bing, a trained epidemiologist, gave an overview of pandemics and techniques for controlling them.  He showed coronavirus projections from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation which included a detailed projection of cases in Texas.  The presentation concluded with a look at school closures across different states.
