Our department chair
has been chosen to receive the 2022 Dedman Family Distinguished Professor Award. The award recognizes his significant research achievements and outstanding service to the university. He joins the past winners in the Economics department, Nathan Balke in 2007 and Santanu Roy in 2014. Congratulations, Dr. Millimet!
Professor Millimet’s extraordinary publication record, which covers a wide range of topics in economics, makes him one of the most sought after advisers for our PhD students. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he has chaired of the economics department since 2020 and guided the department through the pandemic, supported successful recruiting efforts, facilitated the growth in the PhD program, all while continuing to produce high quality research, advise PhD students, and serve on multiple editorial boards.
