Assistant Professor Ömer Özak has been appointed as a Research Fellow to the prestigious Institute of Labour Economics (IZA). Ömer’s reseach focuses on how the interaction of bio-geographical, cultural, institutional, and technological factors have determined the evolution of societies over the course of human history. The mission and vision of the IZA is to act as a research-based mediator between science and society by developing a global cluster of excellence in labor market research that explores the changing world of work and promotes the future of labor market research.
The IZA also publishes a world-recognized discussion paper series, IZA Discussion Papers, where IZA members circulate their ongoing research before eventually being published in leading academic journals.
