Last Call: Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize – Apply by October 11

This is your last chance to apply for the Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize, named in honor of the first Black member of the Federal Reserve Board. The prize recognizes essays on the economic well-being of Black Americans.

Criteria:

  • 750-word essay (including charts/figures) on the economic well-being of Black Americans
  • Open to undergraduate students majoring in economics, political science, public policy, or related fields at US-based institutions
  • Essays must be accompanied by an endorsement letter from the department chair
  • One essay per department

Application Deadline:

Submit your application by October 11, 2024, 5 p.m. ET to info@csmgep.org with the subject line: “The Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize.”
