Thank You Veterans

A Special Thank You from SMU CAPE

On this day, SMU Continuing and Professional Education wants to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the service and sacrifice that our men and women in the military give to our nation. As we continue to navigate the current tragedies and ongoing political and social turbulence, let us not forget the sacrifice of those men and women in foreign countries that fight for the freedoms we here at home enjoy. Today we honor the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice, in service to our nation. We keep the families of our nation’s greatest heroes in our hearts and minds as we begin this 92nd observance of Veterans Day.

Pioneering New Ground for SMU CAPE

SMU CAPE has been a staple in the continuing and professional education community since our inception in the 1950’s. After decades of service to our higher education community, we have now turned our attention and experience to serving our military and veteran communities. SMU CAPE is finding new and creative ways to allow our service members and veterans to get the professional certificates they need to find continued success within the career fields.

  • We will waive application fees for the majority of certificate programs and offer military and veteran discounts
  • This month we will be submitting 12 of our certificate programs to the Texas Veterans Commission for GI BillĀ® use
  • We will be unveiling a new Veterans Scholarship early next year which will provide financial relief for current and former members of the armed forces
  • To see all of the other resources that are available, please visit our Veterans website by clicking here
