Who Gets Your Vote? U.S. Domestic Policy Under Kamala Harris or Donald Trump (Third Rail Series)

September 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Who should get your vote?  Listen and Decide.

Voters face a momentous choice this November.  CPH can help, by offering the perspective of two experts each tasked with making the case for one candidate.  A CPH Third Rail Lecture Series event, this evening will not only help voters make a more informed decision, but also demonstrate that even when backing different sides, Americans can still come together and discuss their differences respectfully, politely, and with the ever-present thought that what unites us as citizens of our shared republic is forever greater than our temporary divisions.

U.S. Domestic Policy Under Kamala Harris or Donald Trump

September 30 will focus on each candidate’s domestic agenda, featuring Peniel Joseph of the University of Texas-Austin making the case for a possible incoming Harris administration, and Stephen Moore of the Heritage Foundation outlining the programs and policies of a potential second Trump administration.

Peniel Joseph is a Professor of Public Affairs and Barbara Jordan Chair in Ethics and Political Values at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and the Founding Director of UT-Austin’s Center for the Study of Race and Democracy.

Stephen Moore is a Senior Visiting Fellow in Economics at the Heritage Foundation, having previously served as Founder and President of the Club for Growth, and as a senior writer for the Wall Street Journal and as a member of its editorial board.

Jeffrey A. Engel, CPH David Gergen Director, will moderate both Third Rail events this semester.  Events will be held in the Mack Ballroom on the SMU campus at 6 pm. Registration will open in early September.
