The Jones Film & Video Collection in the Hamon Arts Library will host an evening of film and television history on Tuesday, October 29th, 7pm, in the Jeff Gordon Film Collection and Screening Room, 3rd floor Hamon Library.  The event is free and open to the public.

Shortly before filming Psycho, Russell worked as the cinematographer for television series Lux Playhouse. SMU Film & Media Arts’ Professor Sean Griffin will be introducing the Hitchcock classic and the TV episode “Stand-In for Murder” (1959), which paved the way for some of the most iconic shots filmed in “Psycho”.

“Stand-In for Murder” is part of the Jeff Gordon Film Collection, in the G. William Jones Film & Video Collection.
