In conjunction with the Torn Apart: Punk Graphics, Fashion & Culture, 1976-86 exhibition, this documentary, Westwood: Punk. Icon. Activist., will profile the life and work of the British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood (1941-2022) who was largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Torn Apart, an exhibition at the Hamon Arts Library, features several early clothing pieces by Westwood who began her career as a designer on King’s Road in London with her shops SEX and Seditionaries.
