JURASSIC PARK (1993) will be screened on March 7th, at 7pm, at the Angelika Theatre, Mockingbird Station. The sci-fi cautionary tale, based on the book by Michael Crighton, will be the first film in the Student-Curated Film Series.

Reel to Real: A Spielberg Canon
Reel to Real: A Spielberg Canon is an exclusive film showcase dedicated to Steven Spielberg’s legacy. From classics that ignited his passion for filmmaking to modern masterpieces that reflect his innovative approach, and childhood roots as a boy scout. His versatile cinematic style weaves together emotion and entertainment, leaving a mark on the hearts of audiences worldwide as his visions turn from reel to real.
Special guest speaker is veteran visual effects artist Colin Campbell, Senior Compositor and member of the Visual Effects Society Board of Directors.
The series is sponsored through a collaboration with the G. William Jones Film & Video Collection, SMU Libraries and the Film and Media Arts Division of the Meadows School of the Arts. Grant funding is provided by the Friends of the SMU Libraries.
