139 real photographic postcards, 1904-1944, from the John Miller Morris Real Photographic Postcards and Photographs of Texas Collection. This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and Texas State Library and Archives Commission (Grant Number TXT-21010). (2021). These postcards come from the Panhandle and the South Plains regions and show scenes of life in the early 20th century of Texas including pictures of racing, boxing, and parades. Of note are several images of Texas courthouses, including the courthouse in Lubbock, Texas.
46 engine drawing cards 1908-1937, from the Baldwin Locomotive Works Records collection (Series 7: Data books). Per the collection finding aid, “In 1910, Baldwin began keeping engine drawing data on large cards. Records of locomotives after 1903 were transferred to the cards and continued from that point. The cards are arranged by BLW class numbers and include primarily dimensions of various parts of the locomotive.”
10 interviews have been added to the Southern Methodist University Oral History Interviews and Digital Humanities Student Projects collection. These interviews, with NeAndre Broussard, James Richardson, Sabreena Robinson, Reverend Richard Stewart, Dominique Earland, Kathy Hubbard, Dr. Iyabo Osiapem, and Timara Tyler are part of the Voices of SMU project.

118 photographs and postcards, 1936-1942, from Photographs – Bywaters/Dozier Sketching Trips – 1930s – 1940s, These images were taken on sketching trips taken by Jerry Bywaters and Otis Dozier to the Southwestern United States. Bywaters and Dozier used these trips as an opportunity to capture images of scenes for their art. This group of images, primarily from the 1930s, includes a photograph labeled “Mexican Cemetery – Terlingua” that likely served as an inspiration for Bywaters’ 1939 work, ”Mexican Graveyard, Terlingua.”
19 scrapbook pages, 1936-1946, from DeForrest Judd Scrapbook, 1936-1950. These pages feature newspaper clippings about Judd’s work in Ohio and Dallas, a number of programs for exhibitions which featured Judd’s work, and several awards and prizes given to Judd over the years.
